State police at the Media station reported:

Theft: Troopers responded to West Chester Pike in Edgmont for the theft of an air conditioning fan and its motor from the rooftop unit of a building.

Car theft: Troopers charged Vincent Carter, 53, Philadelphia with theft of a Ford F150 on July 7 by not paying the full amount due, using a closed checking account to purchase the truck from a Carshop dealership at 1021 Baltimore Pike in Concord. Troopers attempted to contact the suspect with no results. The total value of the 2015 Ford is $30,246.

Drag racing: A 2013 Infiniti and a 2018 Volvo crashed as a result of drag racing on Interstate 476 north in the area of mile marker 9.7 in Haverford Township at 11 a.m. Unit 1 struck unit 2 before crashing into a concrete wall. Charges will be filed against Unit 1’s operator.

Vandalism: At 8:32 a.m., a 2004 Ford was found on the side of Interstate 476 north in Haverford Township unoccupied with a damaged rear window.

Drug possession: At 9:12 p.m., troopers came upon a man walking in the middle of Route 1 near Concord Road. The 24-year-old from Glen Mills resisted and was found to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Highway assault: At 1:46 p.m., troopers charged a 63-year-old Havertown man with simple assault in an incident that occurred on Interstate 476 in Upland near mile marker 5. The victim, a 23-year-old male from Chester, was interviewed and provided suspect identifiers.

DUI: At 1:54 a.m., troopers stopped a 2023 Acura Integra on Interstate 476 north in Haverford at mile marker 10.3 and through investigation determined the driver, a 35-year-old Philadelphia woman, was under the influence of alcohol.

Thefts: Just after 1 p.m., troopers responded to Knowlton Road in Middletown Township for multiple thefts from motor vehicles. The public information release identified five victims and troopers totaled the losses from the thefts. Stolen from a Honda was $4,172 credit value, $31 from Barclays, $3,873 from Apple, $266 from Nike. A second Honda had $1,285 taken, including $120 and $1,164 from a Chase Visa card. One car had the lock tampered with and four cars were vandalized.

Theft: Troopers responded to the 100 block of Polecat Road in Concord for a delayed burglary. A person removed a $1,500 electric bicycle from the victim’s garage.

Catalytic converter: Troopers responded to Middletown Presbyterian Church on Old Middletown Road for the theft of a catalytic convertor from a Ford E350 between July 9 and July 16.

Road rage: Troopers investigated a road rage incident on Interstate 476 south in Marple at 4:18 p.m. A 23-year-old Huntingdon Valley man alleged he had a handgun pointed at him by the driver of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 28-year-old Woodlyn man.

DUI: Troopers responded to a four-vehicle crash at 8:05 p.m. on Interstate 95 north in Chester involving a Honda, a Subaru, a Freightliner and a Mercedes Benz at 8:05 p.m. The operator of the Honda, a 26-year-old from Philadelphia, was arrested for driving under the influence.

DUI: At 12:46 a.m., troopers stopped a silver 2021 Infiniti Q50 on Interstate 476 south in Marple. The driver, a 45-year-old Ridley Park man, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs and placed under arrest.

DUI: Troopers charged a 38-year-old Wilmington man after he was traveling on 202 North at 7:24 a.m. and crashed on the grassy area near Applied Bank Boulevard, hitting two signs. The suspect was under the influence of drugs and placed under arrest.

Shoplifting: At 6 p.m., troopers responded to Boscov’s in Middletown for a retail theft of a Phillies cap and true wireless headphones valued at $66. Two subjects were seen on video leaving without paying. Troopers stopped a black Volkswagen Jetta with Florida plates and recovered the items, then filed an arrest warrant for a 34-year-old Chester man.

Shoplifting: At 4:32 p.m., troopers responded to Concord for a theft in progress at Acme. The store was able to recover the $378 in hygiene and baby products before the suspects fled. Employees gave a description of the car to troopers, who stopped it on Route 322 just before Interstate 95 and arrested Devon Erwin, 27, Churchville, and Robert Graham, 47 of Philadelphia. The car was taken to the station and a warrant to search it was obtained. Troopers found $752 in laundry and hygiene products taken from the Acme in Glen Mills.

Identity theft: A 54 year-old Thornton resident of Heatherstone Way reported a Bank of America/Alaskan Airlines credit card was opened in her name without her consent.

Harassment: At 3 p.m., a 68-year-old Chadds Ford man was charged with threatening concrete workers. Milowicki was issued a nontraffic citation for disorderly conduct and harassment.
